The Process:
Wise x Weezy, is a brand based in San Diego that a good friend of mine created. When he told me that he was going to create his own clothing line he asked me to be a part of the construction of his garments. We went to Los Angeles to source all the blanks and see which ones would fit the best for each piece that he wanted to release.
We found a manufacturer who can provide the blanks, we found a place to get the embroidery done, and what I had to do was sew on all the patches. I sewed the Grim Reaper on the front, the 89 near the pocket, and the big rose on the back.

Reflection:
I normally work with cut and sew, I make the patterns and samples, which takes weeks depending on what's being created. So, it was a nice change of pace to be able to source a blank and work with a garment already created. The most difficult part was having to sew the patches on while the garment is already lined. What was asked of me was to make sure the lining did not get sewn down when the patches were sewn. I had to think outside of the box and figure out how to manipulate the jacket while it was on the machine so that nothing got mistakenly sewn, whether it was the lining or even the pockets.
